Accessibility statement
Last updated: [date]
ORO168 wants everyone to be able to learn about our loans, check their rate and apply, whatever their ability or the technology they use. This statement explains the standard we work to, where we fall short, and how to get help or another format.
Our standard
We design and test oro168.ca to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. This goes beyond Level AA of WCAG 2.0, the standard set by Ontario’s Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
Current status: oro168.ca is [partially / fully] conformant with WCAG 2.2 AA, based on an audit completed on [date] by [our team / an external auditor] using automated tools and manual keyboard and screen-reader testing. [We have fewer than 50 employees in Ontario, so the AODA website requirement doesn’t apply to us; we meet it voluntarily.]
What we’ve done
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator.
- Text and buttons meet AA colour contrast, and colour is never the only way information is shown.
- Pages work with screen readers, including NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver and TalkBack.
- Text can be enlarged to 200% and pages reflow on small screens without losing content.
- Our loan calculator works by keyboard, announces results to screen readers, and lets you type amounts instead of using sliders.
- Forms have visible labels and explain errors in words.
- Animations stop if your device is set to reduce motion.
- Rates, fees and disclosures are written as text, never shown only in images.
- [The site is available in English and French.]
Known limitations
We are working on the following:
- Our online application at apply.oro168.ca is run by a third-party provider. We require the provider to meet WCAG 2.2 AA and we test it, but some steps may not yet fully meet the standard. If you have trouble, call us and we’ll complete your application with you by phone.
- Loan documents such as your agreement and disclosure statement are provided as PDFs. If a PDF doesn’t work with your assistive technology, we’ll send an accessible version or another format.
- Third-party content such as embedded customer reviews may not fully meet our standard.
Alternative formats and help
You can ask for any information on this website, or any document we send you, in an accessible format such as large print, accessible PDF, plain text or an audio-friendly version, at no cost. We’ll agree with you on a format and a timeline that meets your needs.
- Phone: [1-8XX-XXX-XXXX], [hours, time zone]
- Email: accessibility@oro168.ca
- We welcome calls through Canada VRS and text relay services.
Feedback
If you find a barrier on our website or in our application, please tell us. Include the page address and what happened if you can. We’ll acknowledge your message within [2] business days and reply with a plan within [10] business days. You can give feedback by phone, email or the contact form, and anonymously if you prefer.
Compatibility
The site is built to work with current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on desktop and mobile, together with common screen readers and magnifiers.
How we keep it accessible
We check new pages with automated tools before they go live, test by keyboard and screen reader, and review the whole site at least once a year. This statement was last reviewed on [date].
